Happy Monday! Yesterday I visited my local nail supply shop and picked up a few new polishes which I will be swatching over the next few posts. One of the polishes I picked up was China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy. FFF is a great coral-pink neon. I was at first going to just do a simple swatch of it but when I saw this mani from Elizabeth at Life and Polish I had to try my own version of it.
I started by painting all of my nails white with Wet N' Wild's White French Creme. This helps with getting an even and opaque color from neons- which tend to go on semi sheer and streaky. I then painted on two coats of FFF. I actually could have just done one, but did two for good measure. I left one finger on each hand just plain white. I opted for a smaller image for the finger with the design. I used Konad stamp M2 on my forefinger on right hand (I did my thumb on the left hand). Unfortunately it was blazingly hot outside and my windows were open, which caused some air bubbles in the finished product. Kind of wanted to start all over but I was too tired!
