Hearts A-Flutter

TGIF all! This has been a very weird and eventful four day work week for me and I'm really glad that it is almost over. I don't know if Mercury is retrograde or what but there has been one strange or random event after another these past few days.

Thursday a friend of mine stopped by my place and dropped off a load of nail polish goodies to me. It was a major free haul! She included in the bag her Konad stamps, which I was beyond excited to get since I was planing to order some myself. I have never used nail stamping plates before so this manicure is my first foray into the stamping world. I would give my first attempt a solid B+. Not great, but not awful either. I think I simply need more practice with them and more time. I rushed a bit doing this manicure; it was late and I was tired. I used plate M3 for this mani along with Essie Lady Like as the base color and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in White On for the hearts. I had read that doing stamping using regular polish instead of the special stamping polish may not work as well. I had also read that it worked fine. So who knows. The hearts are a little light, but that could have been to me not pressing the stamp hard enough down on my nails. I'm going to order a few stamping polishes to see for myself it it makes that big of a difference.

As you can see the hearts are a bit faint in places.
