Lacquer Convention Observatory

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday. I have spent mine mostly relaxing which is great. Today I have a polish from Lacquer Convention called Observatory. Lacquer Convention is an indie nail polish maker that sells on Etsy. I have really gotten into indie nil polish over the last few months. The colors are so inventive and not mass-produced and it feels great to support small businesses. I've had my eye on Observatory for awhile but it kept selling out. I lucked out a few weeks ago and managed to grab the last mini bottle of Observatory. Observatory is an amazing multi-colored glitter in a sheer black jelly base. In the light it shines in brilliant pinks, blues, and silvers. Gorgeous! The color is sheer so I layered it over China Glaze Smoke and Ashes (a black with a hint of silver blue glitter). The photos below are with one coat of Smoke and Ashes and two coats of Observatory and a top coat. I'm holding my top coat bottle in the photo since the mini bottle is little and really hard to hold and photograph.

Lacquer Convention nail polishes sell for $7 for a 15ml/0.5oz bottle and $2.85 for 5ml. minis.
