Beaded Mani

Happy Friday eve! Last night as I was figuring out what mani I wanted to do I remembered that I had recently purchased a multi-pack of micro beads from Michael's. It is a little mini pack with silver, black, gold and clear beads. So I thought I would do something fun for today. I also pulled out Wet n' Wild Fast Dry in Gray's Anatomy- which is a really pretty holo metallic which changes color depending on what light you're in. It's fairly sheer, so I used Wet N' Wild Wild Shine in French White Cream as a base. I chose to do only one finger for this since it's not exactly a practical mani for  work. After letting the base color dry I topped with three coats of Gray's Anatomy and then a top coat of Color Club Zero to Sixty Speed Dry. While still wet I dipped my forefinger in a small bowl that I had poured the clear microbeads into. After the nail was completely covered, I tapped to make sure that the beads were in place and brushed off the any that were hanging on the edges of the nail. I'm glad I chose the clear beads for this mani (I was at first going to use the silver) since the nail color itself is so pretty and when it changes in the light the beads take on the same color. I took a few photos in various lighting sources so you can see. This is a fun look but definitely only a 24 hour one. The beads start to jump ship fairly quickly!

This is in dark lighting- they polish and beads look silver.
In sunlight. Is a pretty silver lavender.
