Negative Space Minimalist Nail Art

Happy Tuesday everyone. I am still on my negative space nail art kick. I was really inspired by the MoYou Minimalist nail stamping plates I recently purchased and have been coming up with tons of ideas on how to use them. My first design was pretty straight forward and classic. This time,. I wanted to do something cool and edgy but also in keeping with the "minimalist" theme.

Tools used:

MoYou Minimalist Plate 03

Clear Stamper

Polishes used:

Sinful Colors Snow Me White

Hit the Bottle Snowed In and As Black as Night

CbL PDQ Top Coat

Steps:

Like in my previous post, I freehanded painting a little more than half my nail with Snow Me White, this time trying to keep the lines as neat as possible. I then used PDQ to speed up the drying process. Once dry, I used my clear stamped to stamp on the selected patterns from 03 first with Black as Knight for the top half of my nail and then Snowed In for the bottom half. I finished with another coat of PDQ.

I am IN LOVE with how these turned out! And though they may look a bit complicated they were actually very easy to do.  My favorite kind of nail art is the kind that looks super involved and complicated - but really isn't. I'm all about maximum impact with minimal effort!

I am really enjoying the two plates I purchased from the MoYou Minimalist collection. I am thinking of picking up a few more. Do any of you own any plates from thsi collection? And if so, which are your faves? Let me know in the comments!

Inspired by Fashion - Elie Saab Spring 2017 Nail Art

Hell gang and happy Monday! I'm on time with my post this week! Woohoo! Today's nail art is inspired by Elie Saab. There were sooo many designs from this collection that I loved,; I had a hard time picking just one. There are a few that I will probably do at a later date. I'm a sucker for stars and star patterns so I settled on this sassy little number.

Tools used:

What's Up Nails Star Nail Vinyls

Polishes used:

DIY Sheer Black Polish

Zoya Willa

OPI Matte Top Coat

Steps:

I started with two thin coats of my DIY black polish. I made this polish ages ago by mixing black polish and clear polish together. It's super easy to do. Once those two coats were complete dry I applied my nail vinyl and filled them in with Willa and then removed. I feed handed negative inverted v-shape and half filled space on my ring and middle fingers. Once dry, I finished with Mate Top Coat.
