Golden Presents Holiday Nail Art

Whoa! Two posts in row! I know - it's cray right? I have so many great ideas that I wanted to try and not posting last week has made me even more excited to post this week. Today I have for you more Holiday-inspired nail art. Like I said yesterday, I love non-traditional holiday color combos. Gold is of course a classic but I love the look of gold with softer colors like pink and white.

Tools used:

Winstonia Berry Wine Nail Art Brush

Winstonia Fine Line Striping Brush

Polishes used:

CbL Hot Buttered Rum

Hit the Bottle Snowed In

Sinful Colors Glazy Sunday

CbL PDQ Top Coat

Steps:

I painted my nails with two coats of Hot Buttered Rum. Then using my small Fine Line brush, I applied Glazy Sunday down the middle of each nail, creating a T-shape. I then drew a thin line with Snowed In. I finished with a coat of PDQ.

I briefly thought about adding a bow to make the ribbons look more "ribbon-y" but I decided against it since it would have covered up a lot of the gold base color which I really wanted to shine through. As a result I'm not quite sure how "present" or "gift" like these look. But I love them anyway!

Holiday Nail Art

Hello everyone! I took last week off because I had my company's holiday party which I am in charge of planning and running. It's always a busy and stressful time and I decided to give myself a break from the blog so I could concentrate on that. I also had a nasty nail break early last week which has led to my new rounded nail shape. Winter is always so hard on my nails. It seems like no matter how much I moisturize my cuticles and hands my nails still break. I decided a more rounded shape would be easier on my nails. I don't know how long it will last though since I love my squares! Today's nail art is a nod to the classic holiday colors of Green, Red and Gold. Even though I don't celebrate Christmas I do enjoy festive nail art.

Tools used:

Clear Stamper

Bundle Monster Plate BM S219

Ellagee Lickety Split Liquid Latex

Polishes used:

ILNP Ski Lodge

Zoya Blaze and Levi

Hit the Bottle Spun Gold

CbL PDQ Top Coat

Steps:

I started with two coats of each polish with a coat of PDQ to speed up drying. I then applied Lickety Split around my nails and cuticles and stamped my images with Spun Gold. I finished with another coat of PDQ.

I'm not generally into the traditional holiday colors- I like the more modern colors combos, but I really love how festive this nail art turned out. And the textured gold accent nail really makes everything pop.

Holiday Sweater Nail Art with Zoya Posh and Veruschka

...And now back to our regularly scheduled programming! Yesterday I took a break from the holiday-inspired nail art, but today I am back with one of my favorite  holiday-themed designs I've ever done. I have been wanting to do an old-school green and red design and a holiday sweater design so it made perfect sense to combine the two ideas.

Tools used:

Small detailing brush

Medium striping brush

Polishes used:

Zoya Veruschka

Zoya Posh

Pueen White in White

Steps:

I painted my nails with two coats of Veruschka. I then used my small detailing brush and White in White to create the patterns on my index, pinky and thumb. For my ring and middle fingers I used my striping brush and Posh to create a knit pattern.

I'm really happy with how these turned out. I am really loving how my ring and middle fingers turned out. I could do a whole design with that pattern I love it so much.

#LLYummy - Pumpkin Pie Nail Art

It's Lacquer Legion time peeps! November's theme is "yummy". Considering that Thanksgiving is Thursday here in the States, I had a lot of "yummy" ideas to choose from. I immediately thought of pie. There is a very definite divide in my house when it comes to pie: My family are all about the sweet potato pie, whereas I - I love me some pumpkin pie. Don't get me wrong - sweet potato pie rocks too, but pumpkin? Pumpkin is where it's at!

Tools used:

Small detailing brush

Colors used:

OPI Chop-sticking To My Story

(base color)

Pie Crust:

Zoya Spencer

Zoya Flynn

Zoya Emilia

Steps:

I painted my nails with two coats of Chop-sticking To My Story. I then used my detailing brush to apply Spencer for the crust. I used Emilia and Flynn to give the crust dimension. I topped it all off with KB Shimmer Clearly on Top

.

I love how these turned out. It's definitely put me in the Thanksgiving spirit - and in the mood for a slice of pumpkin pie!
