First up is Antique Bronze; a metallic green gold. When I first saw this I thought that it might be yet another Chanel Peridot dupe. Which, I don't know about you guys, but I have seen enough dupes of that polish to last me a lifetime. Thankfully it is not. It does not have a duochrome finish like Peridot. It actually dried more to a foil finish which I was pleasantly surprised by. Application was easy no lumps or weird streaks like a lot of metallics can have. I used two coats and no top coat for the pics.
Next is Cafe au Lait. This was the first of the polishes that caught my eye. I love a good neutral cream. The color is gorgeous and I think would look great on lots of different skin types; my Mom tried it and her complexion is about half a shade darker than mine and it looked great on her. But this one lost me in the application. The first coat went on with no problems, but the moment I added the second it became thick and dragged. I wound up re-doing two nails because of this. The finish is beautiful and shiny- I didn't use any top coat. I used two coats for the pics. I smudged my index finger a bit during my picture taking but didn't feel like fixing yet another nail.
Last is Galaxy. This one is a very pretty dark gray cream with silver glitter flecks. This was another one that I like more in the bottle. I think this may look great on someone else with a fairer skin tone but I think it looks "meh" on me.The formula was so-so. Like Au Lait is was on the thick side, but did not have the dragging issue. I used two coats with no top coat for the pics.

Interesting - did not know Nordies was coming out with their own polish line - wonder who makes it for them? I don't have a Nordies for 200 miles of me so I only get things from them if I mail order.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few in my city but I usually just order online since they offer free shipping and returns for all orders.
